Introduction:
Coomassie Brilliant Blue (CBB) protein stains are inexpensive but detect proteins only at microgram levels. Because of acetic acid and methanol, they cause skin irritation and reduce work motivation by malodor. EBL Easy Blue CBB Stain Reagent is an
enhanced protein stain based on Coomassie dye that offers unsurpassed sensitivity and rapid band visualization. EBL Easy Blue CBB Stain Reagent is a rapid, sensitive, and odorless. EBL Easy Blue CBB Stain Reagent detects the proteins for as few as 10-20 ng, and the protein bands are visible in just 10-15 minutes, with maximal staining achieved in 2-4 hours. EBL Easy Blue CBB Stain Reagent is supplied in a ready-to-use form that is capable of being added directly to protein gels after electrophoresis, followed by a brief ddH2O wash step.

Storage conditions:
It is shipped at ambient temperature. Store it at room temperature upon arrival. Stable for one year when stored and used properly.
Standard protocol:
1. Wash the gel 3 minutes for 2 times with large volume of deionized water to remove SDS.
2. Remove all free water from the gel.
3. Add an adequate volume of EBL Easy Blue CBB Stain Reagent (30-50 ml/mini gel)
to immerse the gel.
4. Gently, shake the gel in EBL Easy Blue CBB Stain Reagent stain for 30
minutes. Protein bands will be visible within 10-15 minutes and achieve maximum intensity within 2-4 hours in most applications.
5. Rinse the stained gel with large volume of deionized water, 3 times for 30 sec. each. Store the stained gel in deionized water.

Quick protocol (for maximum sensitivity):
1. Wash the gel for 5 minutes with large volume of deionized water
2. Remove all free water from the gel.
3. Add an adequate volume of EBL Easy Blue CBB Stain Reagent (30-50 ml/mini gel) to immerse the gel.
4. Use a microwave oven to boil the stain reagent/gels for 5-10 sec. and shake the gel for 5-10 minutes.
5. Repeat step 4.
6. Remove all stain reagent. Wash the gel with large volume of deionized water.
7. Use microwave oven to boil the deionized water/gels for 5-10 sec. and shake the gel for 5 minutes.
8. Repeat step 7.
9. Rinse the stained gel with large volume of deionized water and store the stained gel in deionized water.
